So what can cause the shear blade noise?

The shear blade has the characteristics of compact structure, small size and high transmission efficiency. Abnormal noise is a common problem of shear blades; due to the heavy load of shear blades, the working environment is harsh, and abnormal noises are more likely to be produced.

So what can cause the shear blade noise?

   1. There is a foreign body in the body

The abnormal noise is clear and irregular. The main reason is that foreign body (such as small parts and assembly tools, etc.) accidentally fall into the shear blade during assembly. If this happens, remove the foreign body and check whether the gear is damaged.

        2. Parts are damaged and fall off

This is a clear and non-standard response. Since the shear blades are often impacted by heavy loads, under the continuous action of the load, the damage of the bearings, gear teeth and other components will cause them to fall off, and the damaged parts fall off in the body. Cause different sounds. Clean body parts in time and replace damaged parts.

  3. Large bearing clearance

This abnormal noise is clear, continuous, periodic, and increases with the increase in speed. The bearing is mainly composed of four parts: inner ring, outer ring, rolling element and cage. Large bearing clearance means that the clearance between the rollers and the inner and outer rings is too large. During operation, the rolling elements collide with the inner and outer rings, causing abnormal noise.

  4. Gear tooth side clearance is too large

This kind of abnormal noise is turbid and usually appears at the beginning of the shear blade and disappears during continuous operation. In the gear meshing transmission, in order to form a lubricating oil film between the meshing tooth profiles and avoid jamming due to the friction and thermal expansion of the gear teeth, there must be a gap between the tooth profiles. This gap is called backlash. If the backlash is too small, the meshing gear will be stuck due to thermal expansion; but if the gap is too large, a strong impact will be generated at the moment of contact between the teeth, resulting in abnormal impact noise.

   5. Differences between parts

This kind of noise is turbid, continuous and periodic. Under normal circumstances, the difference in concentricity between parts does not affect the performance of the product, but if it exceeds the allowable range, different noises will be generated, and even the service life of the shear blade will be affected. Due to the difference in the center of the parts, phenomena such as abnormal gear meshing, uneven load distribution, and uneven stress will occur. Under the action of this unbalanced force, different sounds will be produced.

There are many reasons why the shear blades make different sounds. When there are different sounds, stop the operation. First of all, we must start from the characteristics of different sounds, first determine the cause, and then analyze the specific cause, solve the problem in time, and avoid unnecessary damage to the shear blade.
